Holiday Park, New Plymouth

We've stayed at the Belt Road Holiday Camp before - the two-berth cabins are really cute with a verandah which looks out over the port - a million-dollar view for a budget price.

Death Ball

Last night was the Pivot magazine Death Ball at the Zone. The magazine was very impressive, as were the transgender ghosts and other creatures of the night.

Sweetman visit

Simon and Katy visited us on their way to New Plymouth for the Beach Boys concert. We forgot to suggest they move their car off the road being Friday night and all. Luckily the only thing that happened was it got egged.
Here is Simon sitting outside in the morning being interviewed live on Radio Active. As well as doing music reviews, he blogs regularly for Stuff.

The pros and cons of going steady

And the UCOL graduates show, opened by Japanese drummers. These students are going out with a bang. (I know, terrible pun!) I've photographed some installation work by Trevor Rust (top), Kate Lepper (middle) and Clare McNamara, who also did a live performance.

on the street

Some art from the streets of Auckland...and Te Kuiti.

A cat's life

I visited two cats in Auckland - Jazz on the left and Molly on the right - they both know how to enjoy life.
