South Island trip

Five of us set off in a very well-packed car (Sue, Mel, Remi, Casey and me) for five days in Golden Bay with a night in Nelson on the way back. We were up early for the ferry crossing from Wellington to Picton. Here are some pix from the ferry and then as we pass through Nelson.

My new studio

My second week in my studio and I'm loving having space to put my work around and get a feel for what I'm acutally doing, which besides photography is some drawing and collage.

Bushy Park in the mist

My friend Mitra and I went to check out Bushy Park which is 24km out of Whanganui. The house was built in 1906 and was donated to the Forest and Bird Society. There is a large area of native bush with one particularly huge Rata tree. They've also recently put in a 4.8 km predator-proof fence so that kiwi and other native birds are safe.
