The Stratosphere

Vegas has a tower a lot like Auckland's Sky Tower, but this one has a fun ride out the side of it where you can spin around hundreds of metres above the ground.

Mexican Swap Meet

On Saturday morning we went out to the Mexican Swap Meet in Las Vegas where they have everything from rosaries to vacuum cleaners, and fresh coconuts with chilli which I wasn't brave enough to try.

Hollywood

We are in the land of huge billboards and saucy signs.

Culver City Art District

There are so many dealer galleries in the Culver City area. They look nothing from the outside, but walk in the doors and there's some awesome work. Seen here are Constant Gallery, George Billis, Anna Helwing, JK Gallery and MOCA which is in the city. My favourites shows were Wangechi Mutu at Susan Vielmetter LA Projects, and Korin Faught at Corey Helford Gallery.

Respect the Youth

Some street art from Whanganui. The small text at the bottom reads 'Respect the Youth'. A good message. If we all respected each other, the world would be a better place.

Whanganui Artists Open Studios

The Open Studios event was on over two weekends this year but I've been working and didn't get to many at all. Here are just a few snippets. Artists from left to right: Brandon Sayring, Sugar Jones, Catherine Macdonald.
