This journal is a documentation of art and cultural events I have experienced as a New Zealander, a traveller, and a current resident of Las Vegas, Nevada.
I've been working on getting my studio space organised so that I can get in there and do some painting. It's great having my books and magazines on hand to inspire me.
From the warmth of our living room: seen here is Lauren Lysaght's work "45:00" in front of Matt's painting "My Ambassadors". Wellingtonians can see more of Matt's work at the Mark Hutchins gallery until 13 June.
Some new street art here in Whanganui - Mayor Michael Laws with his cross to bear - putting the 'h' back into the spelling of the town Wanganui. Both the region and the river are already correctly spelt as Whanganui. It's all very confusing to our overseas visitors at present.
My favourite shop in Palmerston North is Nuddy at 154 The Square. The designers represented are expressing their creativity in clothing and accessories, with an emphasis on recycled materials. Very eco-friendly, and just beautiful work!
