Gang Patch Bylaw Protest
Yesterday the media descended on Whanganui where there was a protest against the new bylaw banning the wearing of gang patches in the central area of town. Some protesters had made their own patches 'Maunga Kahu Aotearoa' with the Nelson Mandela fist. There was a strong gang and police presence, but the protest was a peaceful one with no arrests made.
