These are some of the shoes my neice brought back from a trip to the States. A girl after my own heart. I started wearing shoes like these when I was sixteen and working school holidays in a shoe shop. We weren't allowed to sit down unless on a break, so had pretty sore feet by the end of the day, but we felt it was worth it.
