This journal is a documentation of art and cultural events I have experienced as a New Zealander, a traveller, and a current resident of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Red Rock Canyon
It only took about 20 mins to drive to Red Rock Canyon from our house. Las Vegas is so sprawling, but of course eventually you reach the last row of houses, and then it's just desert. The only sightings I had of wildcats, scorpions and tarantulas were in the visitor center. I was quite happy about that. I can now report that a lot of the rocks are indeed an amazing red colour, and others were covered in red spots which looked like blood.
