The Art Car Museum, Houston

Houston, Texas is often referred to as the 'Art Car Capital', with much kudos going to the Art Car Museum, which opened in 1998. The eye-catching chrome and scrap metal exterior was created by car artist David Best. Parked out the front was when we visited was Big Al's mosaic 'Psychic Car.'

Oooh how fun! I love classic cars, and I love art! What a nice combo! This kind of reminded me of the car collection at The House on the Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin (which is, by far, my favorite place in the world!) Here is a picture of a tile car they have there: http://www.flickr.com/photos/manda888/5959229054/in/set-72157627212445574

Nice tile car! They have a very cool looking annual art car parade in Houston. Next time you visit Houston, maybe you can coincide it with this: http://www.thehoustonartcarparade.com/
